Dear Parlier Unified Family,
Welcome back!
We hope that over the summer of 2023, you were able to spend quality time with your family, friends, and loved ones. We also hope that you were able to recharge your batteries and prioritize self-care. The 2023-2024 school year will be an outstanding school year in our district. With your commitment, we will continue to have high expectations for and serve the academic, social, and emotional needs of every single child. Our district’s theme this year is “We Believe!” We firmly believe that everyone at Parlier Unified possesses a variety of assets, gifts, and strengths. Many of our students aspire to be the first in their families to complete a career technical education program, enroll in college, enlist in the military, or attend a world-renowned university; they do so to uplift their families and their community. We will rely on each other in order to allow our students’ dreams to become a reality. Together, we will help transform the lives of the next generation of future California and world leaders. All means all! We believe!

New staff will have the opportunity to meet and greet our Board Members before the Board meeting scheduled on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at the Parlier High School Library at 4:00 PM.
Staff will have the opportunity to meet and greet our new staff at the District Welcome Back event scheduled on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at the Parlier High School (PHS) North Gym. Please note, this day will be a “Super Minimum Day” with students dismissed at 12:30 PM so that all staff can attend the event that starts at 1:15 PM and will end by 3:15 PM. Our theme is “We Believe” and our lead Guest Speaker is Dr. Jonathan Hernandez, who is the founder of Rise 2 It Productions and a nationally ranked professor at Porterville College. Dr. Hernandez will be joined by motivational speaker, Ms. Erika Alfaro, and DJ, Mr. Sal Cortez.
As your Superintendent, I envision a successful year for all staff, students, and parents. Let’s continue to take educational opportunities to the Next Level! Let’s turn Parlier Unified into one of the top performing districts in Fresno County. Believing is seeing the future. With your support, we will accomplish the unthinkable and turn the invisible into visible.
